My Skydive
The Day Before
We will contact you the day before your scheduled skydive to confirm your check-in time and provide a link to the forms to be completed by each person skydiving.
The link will take you to the Australia Parachute Federation Student Registration forms.
We will also confirm your check-in location and provide you with a location pin for the check-in.

On the Day
Please arrive at or before your check-in time at either Shellharbour Airport (Airport Rd, Albion Park Rail NSW) or at the landing area – Bass Point Tourist Road (third parking lot), Shell Cove NSW 2529.
If your designated check in is at Shellharbour Airport, we may ask you to wait at the HARS Cafe where our friendly team will meet you. If your check-in is a Bass Point Tourist Road, look out for a flag or our friendly team in teal BIGWAVE Skydive T-shirts.
Our message will contain a map pin indicating the check-in location.
Clothing
The most important aspect of how to prepare for skydiving, is footwear. Make sure you bring enclosed shoes like runners, no flip flops or sandals are allowed. Dress for the weather on the day with comfortable casual clothes. Take into account that at altitude it will be a few degrees colder.
For safety reasons, you won’t be able to take any of your personal belongings (including your phone) with you in the aircraft. You can choose to either leave your belongings (including valuables such as jewellery) in a safe place with our team, or leave them with your friends and family.
You can wear your glasses or contacts. We provide goggles designed for those that wear glasses or contact lenses.
Unpredictability
Your skydive may be affected by weather delays, air traffic control or other factors. That means that a skydive you booked a month or even a few days ago might end up getting rescheduled or delayed on the day.
That’s why it’s critically important to dedicate as much time as possible the day you visit BIGWAVE SKYDIVE for your skydiving reservation. You don’t want to have to worry about missing your next appointment. We’ll do our best to get you up on time, but if something unexpected comes up, please be patient.
Check-in
When you arrive you will need to check in. Our manifest team will assist you with the waiver, Australian Parachute Federation Membership and personal details forms.
After the paperwork is done, we will take you through the safety briefing and fit your harness.
Please wait for your instructor to escort you to the aircraft for boarding.
